Established in 2020 under the esteemed Dr. B.N.V. Jyothy Memorial Educational Trust, the Jyothy Institute of Commerce and Management (JICM) is committed to delivering quality education that prepares students for both national and global opportunities. Founder – A Journey of Visionary Leadership

All the institutions under the Jyothy Charitable Trust were established under the distinguished leadership and vision of Late Dr. B.N.V. Subrahmanya, a renowned educationist and philanthropist who hailed from Bettadapura Village, Periyapatna Taluk, Karnataka.

Dr. B.N.V. Subrahmanya dedicated his life to education and social service, earning several prestigious recognitions for his invaluable contributions to society. Some of the notable honors bestowed upon him include the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award for Excellence in Education and Social Service (1991), the Rajiv Gandhi National Unity Award (1995), the Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Award (2011), and the Doctor of Literature (D.Litt.) from Tumkur University (2012).

He also served as the President of Akhila Karnataka Brahmana Mahasabha for five consecutive terms, reflecting the immense trust and respect he commanded within the community.

In recognition of his remarkable contributions, the Government has named a prominent circle in Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, as Dr. B.N.V. Subrahmanya Circle after his demise—an enduring tribute to his legacy of service and philanthropy.
